Diagnosis and management of pheochromocytoma during pregnancy

Abstract Purpose:To summarize the experience of diagnosis and management of pheochromocytoma during pregnacy.Methods:a retrospective study was carried out based on data of clinical fetures of 2 cases of phedchromocytoma during pregnacy.Results:phenoxybenzamine was used to control blood pressure for 1~2 weeks before operation, one case in mid-semester,tumor resection was conducted under general anesthesia. The other in third-semester,tumor resection was conducted followed by cesarean section. Both the babies and mothers had been well and safe.Conclusions:This disease is much harmful to baby and mother. The prenatal detection and management can lessen the mortality of baby and mother.
