类型
存在两种类型的先天性肌强直,常染色体显性形式和常染色体隐性形式。常染色体显性遗传性肌强直(OMIM#160800)也被称为Thomsen病,仅次于丹麦/德国医生Asmus Julius Thomas Thomsen(1815-1896),他自己患有这种疾病,并在医学文献中写过它的第一个描述(1876年) )[20]常染色体隐性遗传性肌强直(OMIM#255700)也被称为全身性肌强直,隐性全身性肌强直(RGM),贝克尔病和贝克尔肌无力,继德国教授彼得埃米尔贝克尔后发现其隐性性质。[21]
