感知控制理论(PCT)是由William T. Powers发起的动物和人类行为的心理学理论。与其他心理学和行为理论相反,后者认为行为是感知的一种功能 - 感知输入决定或引起行为 - PCT假定有机体的行为是控制其感知的一种手段。与工程控制理论相反,控制层次结构中每个负反馈控制回路的参考变量是在系统(有机体)内设置的,而不是由改变控制器设定点的外部代理设置的。[12] PCT也适用于非生命自主系统。[13]
